Default Quebec City port.
I just want to warm anyone who may be driving to the Port of Quebec City that during the month of Sept. and Oct. of this year there may not be enough parking spaces. We are leaving on Oct. 1st on the Royal Caribbean Brilliance of the Seas. It goes from Quebec City and returns back to this port. I send a e-mail back in Nov. asking how the parking is as we are going to be driving from Toronto. I received a e-mail yesterday advising me that there will not be enough parking spaces and they asked me for details of the dates and will be asking me to pay up front to reserve a space for us. I just want to advise everyone of this situation. Thanks.

I wonder why the parking will be limited at that time of the year; its not quite time for the viewing the best of the fall season. Must be some big attraction going on that they expect to draw more tourists. We just love staying in Quebec and touring and walking the streets in the old city; like being in some small town in France they say. Lets not forget the great food as well. Enjoy your cruise !

The reason is that this cruise and the one after are a close loop cruise where passengers can drive to Quebec City. This is the first time I have seem this from a Canadian city. This is the reason we have book this cruise. Its all Canadian ports except for one. So its very handy for us to drive.

The reason for this parking issue is that this year is going to be record breaking season for cruise ships in Quebec City as per this news item:
