Could anyone e-mail what companies you have used outside of the cruise line to book excursions in Puerto Vallarta. We are interested in Las Caletas and Yalapa & Mahuitas. Anyone do either of the excursions? I would LOVE feedback. It will be my husband and I and our daughters 13 and 5. Both are very strong swimmers and want to do some snorkeling. Thank you!!

We leave November 6th on the Diamond Princess.

In January 2004 we were in Puerto Vallarta on a land based vacation. We used Vallarta Adventures and did their jungle canopy tour. It was very enjoyable and they were a quality tour operator. They also have tours to the places you asked about. You may want to check out their web site.

We were there in September and we planning on Mismaoya and yulapa, but ended up much closer to town at a resort formerley known as El Camino. I believe it is now a resort called Dreams. For 10 dollars each we were able to use all the facilities the palapas on the beach were fabulous. They brought towels, beverages served a buffet lunch and even later in the day we were served a light snack right on the beach. If you want to stay away from the tours this was the most wonderful day of our vacation. Pools bars and showers too. Have fun whatever you do.
