Panama trip, which side?

dpending on the direction of transit, is there an advantage to have a balcony that looks north or south? Thanks, Robert

According to my old friend and travel expert Alan Walker, a port side balcony is preferable if you are going from the Atlantic/Caribbean to the Pacific, and starboard is preferable for Pacific to Atlantic/Caribbean. He has a superb article located HERE that should be required reading for anyone contemplating a Panama Canal cruise.

The best place is at the front or aft
You can go to either side depending on what is there during the transit
We went in 2007 they were widening the canal in spots it will be interesting when we go next year to see what they have done so far
