Does anyone have any experience using a wheelchair in Bermuda? I'm going on a cruise that has 3 days at King's Wharf. Is public transportation available? Are their taxi vans (I don't need a lift, my son can put the wheelchair in as long as there is room for it)? Any other ideas of what I should do or shouldn't do?
I had a friend that had an electric wheelchair who took a cruise to the Bahamas. She had very little trouble with transportation, but did have to use a regular chair in a couple of ports and leave her electric one on board.
Hope you have a marvelous time in Bermuda! The locals are so very friendly. It's a clean, beautiful island.
Penny, do you know if your friend brought her own manual wheelchair, or did she rent one on this island?

She had her travel agent arrange to have one waiting for her on board the ship. I assume she rented it from the cruise line, but do not know for sure.
