We will be in the San Diego area in October... October 13th to be exact and staying at the Sofia hotel before boarding on October 14th for Radiance of the Seas...

Other than the usual touristy things, like the trolley, shopping, zoo, etc... is there some restaurants that come to mind we should consider eating at for dinner?

Thanks for your replies,

Rhonda

Rhonda you will be getting on the ship, and I will be getting off. This will be only my second time in San Diego, but I had some great dining experiences there. It was awhile ago now, prob 7 years and I don't remember the names, but wandering the Gaslamp district and just looking at menus, is how we made our choices back then. I checked your hotel on trip advisor (looks beautiful) and you are within walking distance, maybe if you glance at Trip Advisor Dining, it might give you a few options. Enjoy ! I am cruising with my cousin who is from Orange County, so she is in charge till we get on the ship, then it's the Queen's job...LOL

Thank you so much for your reply on San Diego... I will look over Trip Advisor and then probably end up doing like you said and just walk the general area around our Sofia Hotel...

Yes I had seen the Sofia when we were on the Trolley tour on our port stop from Monarch last time and got a good rate --- and it was worth it to me, to be close to food, shopping and pretty active area...

Thanks again...

Rhonda

It's been YEARS (like late 1990s) since I've been to San Diego, but there was a restaurant called Humphrey's adjacent to Humphrey's Half Moon Inn on Shelter Island. You can check out their website and menu here.
