In Acapulco I might do an excursion that doesn't include seeing the cliff divers. Is is possible to see them on our own? Is it worth it?
Has anyone been to Fort San Diego or the Mask Museum? Thoughts? Thanks. |
You can do the cliff diver on your own just check the times that they dive I think there is only 3 times daily.
We did the fort it is right across the road from the port ..take the bridge across less dangerous than trying to cross the road http://cruise-chat.com/groupee_commo.../icon_wink.gif We did a private tour with Rosy ..she will take you where ever you want to go. Prices are cheaper if you have a small group. |
Do you know where the times are listed?
Online it looked like only one time during the day--12 or 1ish. |
My only advice for Acapulco is be very very careful. Like so many big cities in Mexico, it has spectacular resorts; but it also has grinding poverty that will break your heart, and it also breeds crime. You need to observe all the rules you've always heard about how to stay safe in foreign countries.
On a positive note, sailing into and out of Acapulco Bay is one of the great cruise experiences . . . .don't miss it! |

We went to the mid-day one ...be sure to take a hat & sun screen there is no shade |
We're going to do an excursion with the cliff divers and then in the afternoon on our own we will walk over to Fort San Diego and the Mask Museum.
I think the excursion takes us to a restaurant to see the divers. |

Just trying to get out of the port area is fun...tour guides & taxi drivers so say "no thanks"
