For those of you who may be sailing to the West coast of Mexico and would be stopping in Mazatlan I wanted to give you a heads up. We just came back from a Carnival Splendor cruise and we booked a horse back riding tour with a company called Randi's Happy horses. It was a wonderful tour. We don't normally enjoy horseback riding tours because every one we have ever taken (including on in Yellowstone national park) has been with a bunch of worn down horses that have been permanently trained to plod along following the horse in front of them. Randi has horses that can match up with anyone's riding experience and they will go in whatever direction you tell them to and will run if you want. It was a gentle ride along the beach with a stop at a nice restaurant/bar at the end.

They also provided transportation to and from the ship in the cost.

You can find the tour company with a simple web search.
