has anyone rented these...or do you HAVE TO GO through the ship excursion to do this? We're they worth renting?

Shari, when are y'all leaving? Grand Turk was really wrecked by the hurricane. They have a website that might have some information or maybe a number you could call to see what is actually up and running. I know they've worked hard to open everything back up and according to reports, the pier was not damaged. Their economy depends on tourism, so if at all possible the vendors will be quite willing to accomodate the passengers. Hope this helps a little. Grand Turk was so pristine and clean when we were there. I'd sure hate to think that the hurricane ruined that.

As far as I know it is. Did the website give any phone numbers so you could check for sure? I haven't heard of any cruises cancelled to Grand Turk, so they must be up and running, at least some things.

As we speak another hurricane cuts through the caribbean! OUCH!
