I don't know if Princess has adopted the express debarkation where you carry your own luggage--somebody who has cruised recently could answer that.

But if you booked your air independently, all you need to do is inform the passenger services desk of your flight arrangements and they will put you in the first group off if you have an early flight.

We had self debarkation on the Dawn Princess last year. We were off by 8:30 in SFO.
You must be able take your own luggage off unassisted.

Self Disembark was available on Sun Princess in Fort Lauderdale this January.

thank you all for your help - we will use your advise when we check in. this is ony our 2nd cruise, and like many still learning the ropes.

Just remember not to make your flight arrangement too early in the day as U.S. immigration can hold up disembarkation.
Our Feb cruise we were late getting off due to immigration dept not clearing the ship till after 8:30 am we were in before 7am.
Lucky for us we were driving so no flights to catch.

Lyn, Had to bite the bullet & take a chance - so we had received a flight that leaves at 11:05 am..If i recall it is not that far to the airport & just hoping that there will be a taxi waiting - ha ha.. thanks lisa
