Need Inside room and Balcony room-which deck?

We are a family to five (new to cruising). We would like an outside balcony cabin and then for the 3 kids an inside cabin. We are looking at the Golden Princess Med cruise for next summer. I've noticed that the inside cabins with 3 people are limited. Is the rear of the Aloha deck a good spot? What about the Caribe deck? Any suggestions will be most welcome!

We were on the Caribe deck on the Sapphire last November. I heard that the balcony rooms on that deck are "slightly" larger than on the other decks, and the balcony itself WAS quite a bit larger than on the other decks. I'm not sure if this is true of every Princess ship. We were also at the rear of the ship, port side and I loved the location because it was very quiet....no traffic at all. Have fun!!

The balconies on the Caribe deck are larger than on Baja & Aloha decks, but they are also visible from those above (on Baja & Aloha). If that doesn't matter to you, Caribe would be fine otherwise. If you want a bit more privacy on your balcony, I'd go for the higher decks. (Of course, if you stand at the rail of your balcony on the higher decks, those below can see you - but they have to turn around and look up in order to do so.)

Generally speaking, cabins amidships (in the middle, front to back) have less motion than those on the ends, but I think the cabins at the stern (rear) are a good second choice. Avoid the ones near the bow (front), as they feel the most motion. Sometimes cabins along the very back of the ship are a bit larger than others in their category, but that may be partly because they are shaped a little differently.
