I bought a couple of prints on Princess several years ago and they still hang proudly in our bar and dining area. WARNING ! It is not for investment purposes. If you like the art and think the price is fair then go for it. They want you to think that it is a great investment but face it....where would you sell it ? I am still happy with my purchase but bought it because I liked it and wanted to enjoy it and was willing to pay what they asked. I am sure it is a profit center for the cruise lines. I have read many postings from people who think they got ripped off. Be an informed buyer and you will be fine.

As others have said, if you really like it & you think the price is right go ahead & buy it but don't believe anything they tell you about being an investment. I sure you'll hear some stories about couples that said they've bought a painting & the price has gone up considerably, but it's the exception to the rule.

We bought a number of pictures on our recent cruise. I agree that you need to like what you buy and not to buy it for investment purposes. Be aware that there are additional costs such as commision for the art house, and shipping. These are explained to you at each auction. We also won two unframed pictures and since nothing is free there were costs again associated with shipping etc. The auctions we attended did have a number of Alexandra Nechita pictures. Most pictures where in the 175-500 price range but some people did purchase art for 2& 3 thousand. Enjoy.
