Hi everyone. We just booked the eastern on the CP for April. We are taking along my parents -75 & 82. Any suggestions on excursions? Also, any little secrets you can let me in on? I wanted to have breakfast on my balcony but I have been getting different opinions. Some say I cant and some say call in the morning for room service. Any comments>

I can't help you with shore excursions, not having done an Eastern Caribbean itinerary.

Ah, but breakfast is my specialty: you have three choices for breakfast on your balcony; you can have a "continental" breakfast by filling out the card left in your stateromm every evening. Make your selections, the time you would like it, and hang it outside your door when you retire. You can order a regular breakfast from room service in the morning. Or, on certain sea days (not every day) you can pre-reserve the "ultimate balcony dining experience"; as the name implies, it is extravagant. They offer this for dinner on your balcony also.

Not sure what your ports of call are, but probably St. Thomas, St. Maarten, and Princess Cays. Both St. Thomas and St. Maarten are good for shopping. If your parents enjoy snorkeling, St. Thomas is the place, actually St. John. There is a catamaran sail/snorkel in St. Thomas that goes to St. John which has had rave reviews. We normally just take the ferry over to St. John and a cab to Trunk Bay, which is an absolutely beautiful beach with a self-guided snorkel trail about 50 yards from shore. The Caribbean Princess is a beautiful ship. As f-mattox stated, the Ultimate Balcony Dining Experience is offered as well as room service. If you post in the Caribbean Port Chat section with your ports of call or use your find feature (upper left-hand corner of your post) and type in your ports, I'm sure you'll find a wealth of information. Best wishes and I hope you enjoy Princess as much as we do!
