Aloha-
I have been to Hawaii several times it is one of my favorite Destinations. Here is a list of must sees in Hawaii:
1.) The Island of Kauai-I Recommend going to the Fern Grotto (rain forest)- you will take a leisurely boat ride through the Wailea River and walk up beautiful flowers/ferns as you make your way to the Grotto. The other excursion that I recommend is Waimea Canyon- Mark Twain Called it the Grand Canyon of the Pacific- It is simply
breathtaking!
2.) The Island of Oahu- The Arizona Memorial is
a must see. The Paradise Cove Luau- is a fantastic luau- that was recommended to me by the locals. Also If you can't get over to Paradise Cove; check out the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Check out Maui Ocean Jewelers- they will give you a tour of how they make their Jewelry.
3.) The Island of Maui- "Maui No Ka Oe- Maui is the best".
A must See is the Halekala Crater- if your up for it you can go at sunrise and watch the sun come over the crater. The Crater is 10,000 feet in elevation bring a sweatshirt with you it gets cold up there. You can also go up to the crater later on in the morning- 9am.
If you rent a car- drive up the scenic and twisty road to Hana. It is a long drive- a beautiful one though.
4.) The Big Island of Hawaii- Hilo
Hilo is a rainforest and most likely at some point you will get a little liquid sunshine. I recommend seeing Akaka Falls 400+ feet. There is also a legend with the falls that once there was a married couple on the top of the falls- every day the husband would cross the falls to see his two lovers. When the wife was coming home their dog would howl. One day the wife came home and their dog never howled; the husband tried to get back as fast as he could- slipped and plummeted down the falls. The rock in the middle of the falls is the Dog- and their are 2 tiny stream waterfalls- they are his lovers crying for him.
Also in Hilo I reccommend seeing Volcanoes National Park- it is very interesting and quite a sight!
**** Inquire to see if your cruise will be sailing past the Volcano at night. If so it is a sight to see and make sure your up on deck- it looks like a city from a far; and you smell the sulpher and see the volcano. It is a sight to see- again check with your cruise.
5.) The Big Island Kona-
Kona is perfect for Snorkeling especially in Kailua bay it is beautiful. (another great snorkeling spot is in Molokini it is an island right off of Maui- it is a bird Sanctuary and a Marine Life Sanctuary as well.) Also Kona is a perfect place to buy Kona Coffee; and just stroll through town.
Have a wonderful time in Hawaii!!!
Aloha!
