Have no fear! At least not yet; I just got off Sapphire Princess from a 7 night Mexican Riviera cruise, and on the second formal night there was escargot and lobster. One lobster tail was served with a very large prawn; but you could have as many additional tails as you wanted. My wife and I split an order of Beef Wellington to go with the lobster, so we really didn't need any extra.

We just just got off the 18 day Emerald transatlantic and they did serve Escargot, but only once in 18 days. The sad thing was that on that particular night it was not very good as it seemed like they forgot the garlic.

We're leaving today on the the Island for 10 days & we'll see what happens. I really think it was missing on a few ships for various reasons & people were panicking for no reason.

We just got back from a Panama canal cruise on the Island P & they did have the escargot on the menu one evening. I suppose I could have ordered it on other evening with advanced notice but didn't since there were plenty of other appetizers to choose from.

Rick, I suppose I should put a review under a separate subject heading.

Happy to report that they were escargot's on the Island. There were also lobsters if you can call them that since the shrimp were larger & tastier.

Rick - I'm trying write up a little feedback about our last cruise but I'm still to busy to finish it.

Hi Everyone,
We just got off Carnival Triumph today and Escargot was on the menu one evening and we also had Lobster and shimp another evening in the Dining room.
I was happy to find that there was Calamari at lunch time one day too.

Hi Everyone,
We were on the MSC Orchestra Jan 10-17, 2009. We did get Escargot, but it was very different. They were made with a brown gravy???? That was a new one on me. We felt most of the entree's were horrible on that ship, the desserts were pretty good most of the time. Some of the food was over cooked and dry, and some of it was not cooked enough. The only pizza you get in the evening was if you purchased a whole pie.
Actually they put us on a diet.
The only free ice cream was when you were in the dining room.
Hank....I see you were on an 18 night Trans-Atlantic cruise in October. How was the water's were they rough? What was the weather like? I will be going on the Ruby Princess Oct. 7, 2009, from Venice to Fort Lauderdale, FL.

We just got off both the Ruby & Crown and I believe the confusion about the elimination of the escargot comes from the fact that although they do offer it once during a 7 day cruise they have eliminated it from the menu's & depend on the waiters to inform the people about availability. I forgot about asking the second week until I saw someone else eating them and at that point I didn't care for any.
