Escargot Removed from Menu

I don't know if this is fleet wide or not but here has been a report about escargot being removed from the menu on the Crown Princess last week !

If true this is a disturbing report, even going beyond the steak debacle on RCI. I look forward to escargots and don't like it when it isn't offered. Carnival doesn't offer it on 3 and 4 night cruises (at least it wasn't available on the Holiday in July), but for Princess to not offer it on a 7 night cruise really would be disappointing.

I haven't heard of any snail shortages or their price getting too high.

No lobster, no steak, and now no escagot. Maybe they'll give us a can of beans and a pack of crackers, perhaps a hot dog if we're lucky. Sheesh!

Wrong cruise line Dude,
Although the steaks on the first evening on Princess are so tough I don't bother to order them any more. I think they still do lobster (if you can call them that) more like large crayfish, but still tasty.

I've got plenty of them by my pool-- I must pick up 10 - 15 each morning & dump them. Maybe I should be cooking them.

The lobster seems to look more and more like split prawns or langostinos.

Ya better hurry, I had them 2 weeks ago on the Constellation, they too may be replaced with cocktail hotdogs!!

Correction ! It seems as though they still have the escargot. It just wasn't on the menu for that week.

It had me worried for a while.

Seems peculiar they wouldn't have it one week, and have it another.

We were on Costa Concordia, 11 Night Mediterranean, January, 2008 and they didn't have Lobster or Escargot. The Maitre D (not sure if I spelled it right), told us we were going to have very large Prawns instead of Lobster. They were medium sized
shrimp.
