Cruiseshiplover,

Been some time since I was in a forward cabin, but, do not recall any problems.

Enjoy your cruise

We have been in forward cabins and never had a problem. Sailed the Sun Princess and had a cabin on the Riviera deck (same deck as the pool) It is a smaller ship, however. But an older ship. We have never felt any movement even being that high up on the ship. In 2004 we sailed the Grand Princess and had an oceanview at the very back of the ship. Our portal looked directly out back. The Grand is a large ship, and we never had movement on it either. Of course, if you have rough seas, you're going to feel something, but the stabilizers on the ship helps keep that movement down some. So, don't fret. Everything should be fine.

We have had friends who had a very front cabin and they said it was a huge disappointment. The worst cruise they have ever had. When the ship is under way you can't leave the doors open as the wind is too strong - you can't go out onto the balcony at all unless you are in port. Mummsie

Mummsie, the front cabin won't be a problem for cruiseshiplover becaise Emerald deck on Caribbean Princess has no balcony cabins forward.

We sailed on the Star Princess in a forward balcony cabin & as long as you sail in calm seas it's fine. I suppose it could get a little bumpy during stormy weather. It's also a longer walk to anywhere's on the ship.

Hi,

I was in a forward cabin last year and while it was okay we will avoid them in the future. During the days at sea it was loud, hull banging on the waves, on the rough day were rocking and rolling. We still enjoyed the cruise. We just weren't expecting the nosie of movement.
Enjoy Cruising
