The freshwater all comes from the same tanks. Potable water is potable water - whether it is pumped aboard while in a port or if it is distilled from seawater with the ship's evaporators (or whatever they use these days). It is all filtered, analyzed, and treated if necessary. It is most likely safer than what is in a bottle or in your home tap.
