Time Zone

Is the time on the cruise itinerary the time at the port of embarkation? Or is it time at each port the ship is visiting? I'm going on Mexico Riviera cruise and will be stopping at Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo San Lucas. As these ports are in different time zones from the port of embarkation (Los Angeles, CA), I'm not so sure when I want to book an independent tour that is not offered by the cruise line.

The times are always shown in the ship's time, which may or may not be adjusted to the local time. It gets confusing, but the Captain actually decides what time the ship is going to stay on.

So if the itinerary schedule says the ship will arrive Mazatlan at 7:00 am, it could be 7:00 am Los Angeles time or Mazatlan time? This would be difficult for people who want to book outside tours, no?

As I recall, the time zone changes once during the cruise; Cabo and I think Mazatlan as well are both on the same time as L.A.
