Mazatlan Docks

I will be on the Oct. 8th 7 day Mexican Riviera cruise which stops in Mazatlan. We will be on the Saphire. I am set to golf at Estrella Del Mar and am planning on taking a taxi there. What I would like to know is if taxi's are available when you get off the dock or is it a long walk like it is in Ensenada.

On my visit the ship was docked a little ways outside of town (I believe that was the only cruise port). I remember walking it - but it was a hike. However, taxis were plentiful and inexpensive. In fact, they swarmed as we left the dock area - none of them could believe we chose to walk AND there were a lot of them!

There are taxis right inside the port, but you might save a few bucks by going outside the terminal and down the street a few blocks. It all depends on yor timing and budget.
