Balcony cabin across from elevators

We are booked on "Emerald" March,'08. I understand this ship is identical to "Crown". So can anyone who's been on the "Crown" let me know if the balcony rooms right across from the elevators on the Caribe deck midship will be noisy at night from other late night passengers,getting on and off the elevators or are the doors sound-proofed enough? Last year we were on the "Sunprincess", also caribe deck, but were down the hall,a bit away from the elevators. We never heard any noise. I like the idea of direct access to elevators and steps. Just wondering if this is plus or not?

I have not yet been on Crown Princess but all the large Princess ships are similar in layout and I've never had a problem with noise when I had a cabin near the "lifts".
Most late-nighters are respectful of others; and the occasional exception is going to be noisy no matter where he is.

Personally I prefer cabins as far foreword as I can get because of the lack of foot traffic in the hall, but I don't recommend this for anyone with a tendency towards motion sickness.

Thank you for responding about the noise or lack of. I do have a tendency to get motion sick, so I'll just stay where I am. I'm sure the other passengers are respectfull enough along with the nice heavy cabin doors tha all will be wonderful in any case. Again than you.
