NEW ORLEANS - A man and woman fell overboard from the cruise ship into the Gulf of Mexico but were recovered alive after a four-hour search, a Coast Guard spokeswoman in New Orleans said.
It wasn't clear how the two fell overboard. Their ship, Princess Cruise's Grand Princess, had left Galveston, Texas, and was headed toward Mexico.
Boats from the cruise ship aided the Coast Guard in the search for the missing passengers, said Lt. j.g. Jillian Lamb at the District 8 Command Center.
Our news is reporting that the man was naked in the water and then clothed once he was back on the ship, sitting in a wheelchair. News stated both woman and man had gone over their balcony. Hmmm......... I think alcohol is not a far-off presumption.
Well...if he was naked, and they both fell off, maybe a little hanky panky on the balcony railing?? They said she was wrapped in a blanket, wonder if she was naked also????
I'm telling everyone to be on the lookout for balconies to be radically changed as a result of the fools who pull stunts such as this one. Either by law or as the result of lawsuits, the cruise lines will end up putting cages on the balconies. Ships will start looking like floating prisons. Remember you heard it here first!
