If you haven't been following the progress of the Golden Princess' refurbishment in Victoria, B.C, this is good stuff. She's going to be practically a new ship.

I tried to accept their invitation, but it didn't work. I don't know Facebook well enough to add myself to the group. Thanks for the info, it really was a fantastic slide show.
I found this on Princess site in the New and announcment section. They have a link to it so you can keep up with it day-by-day.
We are going to be on the Golden in October to Hawaii so I am wathing this. Looking forward to the cruise even more if that is possible!

eb, be sure to visit the International Cafe. They have some free items and then some extra charge items, all are wonderful. They have 9 different flavors of gelato. 3 scoops are $1.50, it is so yummy! If you go to the Crown Grill, try the Black and Blue Onion Soup-awesome!
We are looking foward to 14 days so we can have time to visit all of the dining areas that we never have time on a shorter cruise.
We are doing anytime dining on this Hawaii cruise because 14 days at the same table may be too long and it would also free us up to check out all the other restaurants.
Is my thinking right on this? Hope so!

We have always liked Traditional, second seating. But when we went to Hawaii two years ago on Island Princess we decided to try Anytime; it was the perfect fit for a long, leisurely cruise. Your thinking is right.
We prefer Anytime Dining now. We had to do traditional on the Royal this past Christmas because they didn't offer Anytime. We had great tablemates, but still would have preferred to select when we wanted to eat. If you find a good group that you enjoy, you can always meet up for a cocktail before dinner and dine together. I think you'll really enjoy it on your itinerary.
