I'll be cruising the Caribbean in March and wonder if anyone has experience with the availability of wireless INternet service. I imagine that Princess charges for it (if it's even available), but what about on land?

Check the Princess web site. I believe there is wirless in the lobbies and yes they charge for it. You could use the Internet Cafe.

All of Princess' ships have WiFi hotspots. 35 cents per minute. As for land, depending on the port there are usually internet cafes in the vicinity of the dock area, and these usually have banks of phones for long-distance calls. No telling what the fees are for the land-based spots.
