Just a further point as far as CCCL companies not all being the same on this issue. On Carnival you can get cappcuinos free of charge in the main dining room at all meals, if you ask, and you certainly do not get this on Princess.

SD, that's good to know. On CCL you do get standard coffee, expresso and cappacuinos in the main dinning room (coffee in the buffets) free. I wonder why the difference?

Of course they also offer the premium coffee at the coffee counter (Star Bucks look a like) which are most definetly not free.

You buy a coffee card for $30.00 and it entitles you to 15 specialty coffee drinks--quite a savings over the regular price. They punch your card with each order. Coffee drinks with alcohol are extra.

Can you use them in the dining room if you do not like their coffee?

I agree, we went on the Diamond in June and did not see any coffee card been sold, just the pop card, which we purchase.

they sell them on all ships in the coffee/bar areas where they have the specialty machines.

Julie, you can use it in the dining room to get specialty coffees, such as cappacuinos, lattes, or espresso.

Yikes, just noticed the $30. In August the coffee card was still $25. Is it up to $30?

Not long back from an excellent cruise on Grand Princess where we needed 2 coffee cards to cover the 16 days. It's now $32 per card! You can share one for a shorter cruise. Also you keep any unused portion for the next cruise. For me it's a 'must have' as I think the ordinary coffee served is dreadful.
