Star Princess with Kids?

I am planning a trip in January 2007 for an anniversary celebration and everyone decided on the Star Princess. I would like to include my 2 children, ages 10 and 12, but am unsure if this is a cruise for kids. We have previously travelled on Royal Caribbean and they loved it. Any information would be great, thanks!

Are you planning on going during the school break?? If so there will be loads of childen onboard.
While I personally do not have children I have friends who cruise with their children on Princess & have had excellent experiences.

I just got off the Star Princess on Sunday. There is alot of stuff for kids to do. They will love it!

I took my very shy daughter for her first cruise on the Star just a few weeks ago. The director of the youth counselors was excellent. She put her in a program based on her emotional needs not just her age. The crew treated her like a princess (no pun intended). She had a "mega good time".
