The cruise itself was terrific. Service, food and staff were excellent.
The boarding process was a joke. It took over two hours of standing in line. Only two security gates were available.
The real DISASTER was the arrival in NYC.
We had purchased Princess bus transfers (@$40 each) I had 5 bags and a wife with a broken arm, so, I needed help.
There were no Princess employees in the luggage area. No information or any idea where to go.
I was able to outbid several other passengers for porter service to the street.
Then the real fun began. No one knew which bus went where. After the first two buses were filled, another bus was eventually dispatched.
The driver was new, had never been to La Guardia, and was driving a bus that exceeded the airport terminal 11 ft height restrictions. His English was limited and he apparently could not read. After 31/2 hours of touring Manahattan and FIVE TRIPS around the airport we were finally dumped at a shuttle bus station. Luggage unloaded without help and reloaded without help on the shuttle bus. Then we were dumped at the arrival level. Luggage again unloaded and the ordeal of getting upstairs to ticketing on an escalator without assistance. Many of the passengers on our bus missed their flights and three bags were lost.
Somebody at Princess should lose their job !!!
We paid $8o plus 15$ in bribes and received no assistance !!!
