Princess states that the minimum age for cruises to Alaska is 6 months. Does anyone know if they will waive their policy and allow a 4 month old?

Only Princess can answer that question.

I can only say that Carnival will not waive the policy. I would think Princess would be the same. I would give them a call.

Well considering certain immunizations are not given until a baby is six months old, I doubt any cruise line would waive this policy. In fact, they probably cannot waive it.

Royal Caribbean doesn't have that policy. They allow infants from birth onto their ships.

Since it is a policy, they won't waive it. If they did it for you then others would want it to, and then the flood gates have opened.

Why would someone do that?

Well, I know in my younger naive days when I had my daughter I wanted to go on a cruise when she was about 2 months old. Between my best friend, the pediatrician, and the cruiseline, we didn't go. The pediatrician was the one who explained about the vaccinations etc.

Nickol, you should really wait until your baby is more than a year old before cruising - there is too much risk of illness involved.

Besides it is VERY difficult to travel with a baby. I had to fly from Alabama to Ohio with my daughter at 4 months old and it was less than fun espeially the layover.
