Well, we finally got our cruise documents yesterday! Doing that famous doc dance! Don't know why this excites me so, we already had all the info we needed. Mainly all we were needing were the luggage tags. But this makes it official. WE'RE GOING TO ALASKA!!! It better start warming up there. Temps are still running in the 30's in Juneau. Only 55 more days!

Congratulations! No matter how many times we cruise, receiving the documents remains a very exciting part. I suppose you had received e-documents? I'm glad to see the excitement is not lessened!

E tickets just aren't quite the same as getting them in the mailbox. Always more fun to do the dance curbside vs. dancing on top of a desk. And if you get the email at work, the dance is even more embarrasing!

LanieB, that is great news! Since you are cruising a week before us, I will start looking for our documents to arrive. It is just so exciting when it is "official"!!

I'm doing my doc dance for you! It's next to the most exciting part of the cruise, which to me, is stepping my first foot on board! Have a marvelous cruise

How far in advance are documents sent out? We are booked for May 28th. When should I expect to receive documents? Will they send our documents if I have not completed my Immigration form since I awaiting my passport?

Documents are usually sent out about 4 weeks prior to departure, though the exact time varies between cruise lines. If you have not sent your passenger information, that could indeed delay your document delivery. If you do not have your passport by 45 days prior to delivery, call the cruiseline or ask your TA what you should do.

We have not received our luggage tags, etc. for our May 12th cruise. I called Princess last week and they had been mailed to us on May 2nd. I was told to call back today, 22nd, if I did not receive them. They will not re-issue them until 21 days has passed.
