Starboard / Port Side Carib. Princess ????

I am confused - how do I know if I am on the same side as the islands...I hear that is the better view. I am leaving on March 16 and we are leaving out of Ft Lauderdale going to Princess Cays, then St Martin and then St Thomas. I am on the starboard side. But since we are going in that direction will I see the islands as we approach/leave?

It depends on how they dock. We've been on both sides and it really is a wash. If we're not facing the island while in port, we go up to the Lido or another deck for a meal or a drink. There are great places on board for picture taking. That's part of my fun. I explore the ship looking for places to snap pictures even if I can get some from our balcony, it's still fun to find different vantage points. Not to worry, you'll be fine

We sailed on CB in January 2007 to the eastern carribbean to these islands. We were on the starboard side of the ship and loved it. At port everglades we had a great view of the port. Princess cays, great view. St Martin we had a great view while we sailed to the the dock and then had view of the ship docked next to us. St Thomas was great view of island again until the next ship docked across from us. Hope this helps
