Ruby Princess TV's Video Hookup

Does anyone know if there is access to the video connections on the TV's in the oceanview rooms on the Ruby Princess? We are traveling with our 8 yr old and sometimes the movies are not kid firendly. We'd like to hook up our portable DVD player.

Yes, the T.V.s have video and audio inputs right in front; I do the same thing. And also watch my camcorder videos each day.

Here are a few shots of the flat screen TV connections from our Ruby cruise last month. The input connections for a dvd player wasn't the easiest to get to but once you plug the cable in you can leave it there for the whole cruise.

I just saw this question. We were on the western Caribbean itinerary - Ocho Rios, G Cayman, Cozumel, Princess Cays.
I though the ship was just as good as the Emerald & Crown Princess. No better, no worse. The food was the same as any Princess ship- had no major complaints about anything in the DR, buffet or shows. I really like the smaller Princess ships but there all gone from the Caribbean- at least for now. If the cruise business slows down considerably, they might bring back the Sun & Island, who knows.
We found the ship to be on the large side & still like the smaller ones.
Since the ships are getting bigger all the time they seem to repeat the shows at least three times so that everyone can have the opportunity to see them all, which means less shows. I don't think lots of folks realize that & still mob the first two shows. Anyway, since the introduction of the International Cafe they now offer some items for sale which use to be free, like the marzipan's but offer good pastries during the day as a replacement. I guess you can't have everything. The elaborate desserts that were offered on the Island Princess at the buffet at noon time are gone, but the the Cafe Carib has decent selections & their food is great. Now if someone can just manage to show them how to make a simple pie without having gobs of their whipped cream on it with canned lime pudding underneath, I sure lots of people would really enjoy it. I had a piece of key lime pie one evening and it's a good thing they had a label on it because I couldn't tell you what it was supposed to be. All in all my wife & I enjoyed both the Ruby & Crown with no complaints.
Oh btw, they can keep the MUTS for all I care, it's overly loud & impossible to really enjoy, but my did watch Mamma Mia & liked seeing it on the big screen at night.

Just back from the Ruby Princess, the AV hookups were as easy as you said to find, but to tell you the truth, we used the player very little. When we had down time in the room, the tv programming was excellent. There was always great movies or a Loveboat episode to watch.
