Which shore excursions

We are doing the Egypt Explorer cruise in October 09 aboard the Royal Princess. This is our very first cruise. Apart from the overnight trip to the pyramids, which other excursions are a " must do". Also is it necessary to book in advance or can we do it on the ship ?

I don't know the itinerary for the "Egypt Explorer" cruise so I can't help there. But I do know you can book your shore excursions onboard; however, the more popular excursions fill fast, so it's usually a good idea to reserve them as soon as you decide which ones you want. On Princess the excursions become available about four months before sailing.
