I'm going on the Golden Princess March 18,2006. Anyone else going on that cruise? Does anyone know if you still need a passport to go to the Caribbean?

I was talking to my travel agent this weekend and she said we didn't need one but she still thought it was a good idea. I'll probably hold off since I can use the money other places.

I hope you have a wonderful cruise. We are going on the Sun Princess April 7, 2006, Carribbean cruise,and were told in Jan 2006 you will be required a passport for the caribbean so we just got ours.Call your post office they will tell you for sure the date its required.

The passport requirement was temporarily put on hold by the Federal government, which is who would require it. However, your best bet is to check with your cruise line (or have your TA do so) to find out what they require - some have instituted a passport requirement by Jan 2006 anyway.
