I am going on my first cruise. I decided on the Grand Panama Canal leaving April 23, 2005. I was wondering if anyone has gone on this cruise and has anything to offer on tips for the first time cruiser. Also any activities or spots you consider "do not miss" at any port. Thanks.
What is your itinerary? Check out www.CaribbeanPortReviews.com for tons of ideas and reviews of each port you will visit. The Panama Canal is fascinating.
I hope you enjoy every moment. The Panama Canal is awesome. Not sure what ship you are going on or where you will visit but, relax & savor every moment
Thanks I'll check it out. We are leaving Fort Lauderdale, Aruba, Panama Canal, Puerto Amador, Hualtuco, Puntareans, Acapulco, Cabo San Lucas and San Fran. We are going on the Regal Princess. Hey does anyone one how many drawers there are in a Oceanview Room, Double? Thanks JP
JP,Have not been on the Regal in many years. But, you will have a combo of drawer space, closet, and shelves. Usually both nightstands have 2 drawers & a open top shelf. The closet is along a wall with shelves above it, and space for shoes, luggage below. Or there is a combo of 3 closets that also have some shelves in them.Hope this helps.......

We are just beginning to talk about a Panama Canal Cruise next April 2006. We are trying to decide between Royal Caribbean's Brilliance of the Seas or Princess' Coral Princess. Does anyone know how these ships compare? It's a celebration of my parents 50th wedding anniversary. I want this to be the best ever! Thanks
