Hey all,
Can someone please tell me why there are jet engines on the Island, Diamond and Coral Princess? I think it looks quite funky.

John-O,
these don't have any purpose and are decoration only. Obviously Princess thinks they give the ships a more futuristic look.

Am I the only one who thinks they look really wrong? Do you think, maybe, they look better "in real life"?

Raoul,
I thought they were functional. The Coral Princess has gas turbines in addition to diesels and they say the gas turbines are installed on the stack.
