Crown Princess

Anyone heard about this ship? Will it be the same as other princess ships (so I can go look at reviews

)? Will it go to E. Caribbean? What I've read so far (in a friend's brochure) talks about a nice 9-day cruise from New York, but I'm not sure when it starts.

this ship will be a kind of "Caribbean Princess" / "Diamond Princess" hybrid, but will have a somewhat unique interior layout. The ship's inaugural season will sail from New York City, and I don't think additional itineraries have been announced, yet.

The Crown Princess debuts June 2006. 6/23 I think is the first cruise posted.
She leaves from New York. Rotates an Eastern Caribbean Route (Bermuda, San Juan, St. Thomas, Gand Turk) & Western (Grand Turk, OchoRios, Grand Cayman, Pt. Canaveral)- both have 4 sea days.

So far, we like the 10-day eastern caribbean itinerary. But the Crown princess sounds to NICE!

. I found a couple of old press releases that indicated Princess was going to be taking reservations in April 2005, but that obviously wasn't the case. The releases also suggested that Crown would be only leaving from NY the inagural (sp?) year. Maybe that's too much time on this ship, I dunno.
