Carnival Miracle v Carribean Princess

The imput from experienced cruisers on the following would be greatly appreciated.
We need to decide which of the following cruises to book for our holiday in October:

Canival miracle ( stopping off at Grand Cayman, Cozemel, Costa Maya and Belize): or

Carribean princess ( OCHO RIOS,GRAND CAYMAN, COZUMEL,PRINCESS CAYS)

The Princess is fractionally more expensive ( but apparently the excursions are cheaper than the carnival?)

We have three children , who will be 16, 14, and 11.

which one would you recommend?

Carnival typically has a younger group of passengers. The food is better on Princess. The ship's ammenities are quite comparable. Both offer programs for children. Personal preference would be Princess due to the itinerary, but I enjoy Ocho Rios-Jamaica is a definite experience! We've been on Carnival, Royal Caribbean, Norweigan Caribbean, Holland America, Costa and Princess. So far, Princess has been the best. Enjoy your trip!!

Been on both Carnival and Princess. Felt the food was good on both. Carnival probably has a more extensive childrens program. Both ships came out in 2004. The Miracle has a neat huge Frankenstein in the Disco the kids would like. Maybe you should check out portreviews.com or the port section on this site and read some post about the different ports. Then make your decision on what you thought sounded most interesting to match the type of things your family likes to do. Would recommend either one, but for the kids probably Carnival.
