Grand 11/23/03 Booked flight into Miami Need to get to FLL

Family of four traveling from texas week of Thanksgiving airfare was high... got better deal flying into Miami.
Should we stay overnight in Miami and take transfer to Port Evergaldes?
Does anyone have advice on cheapest way to FLL?
I would rather book hotel right next to port.
First time to cruise... need help!

Check on TriRail Service from Miami. Get a cab to a motel that has morning service to Port Everglades. Enjoy a little time at the beach. Ft. Lauderdale beach area is safe and very pretty. Don't stay near the Miami airport. It's not a safe area at night and there's nothing to do there.

Super Shuttle (www.supershuttle.com) also has service from Miami airport to anywhere in Fort Lauderdale (costs about $23 pp). I would suggest transferring to a hotel in Fort Lauderdale that offers a free shuttle service to the port.
