Alaska train excursions in Skagway

White Pass Scenic Railway that is 3-3.5 hour long or the
Yukon Expedition & White Pass Scenic Railway 8 hour

any recommendations?

Also both of these tours are offered through Princess, so if that's the case, than they do have to wait for you to return. My cousin seems to think that the 8 hour one will not work because we are not in port that long----but if Princess is booking it, it has to be right?

If Princess is offering it you can be sure it will be o.k.

As for 3.5 hours vs. 8 hours--only you can answer that.
As for me, I reach the saturation point at about 4 hours and am ready to go back to the ship.

Wacky - if Princess is offering this excursion then it will be OK - important you need to book this via cruiseline!! However make sure they are offering it for your ship. Princess has more than one ship in Alaska most on slightly different Itins.
