We were just wondering (and please don't laugh as we are 1st time cruisers from OZ,) but are there any ATM machines on board, where we will be able to get some cash or should we think about taking some serious amounts of cash with us, which, by the way is looking very sad with the current rate of exchange so won't be that serious now !!!!!! teehee. Nevermind, won't stop our fun! Thank you

Yes, there are ATM machines onboard. ATM fees will apply. You usually can find them near the casino (go figure), or by the Purser's desk. Remember all your onboard purchases of gift shop, pictures, spa, and shore excursions will be charged to your onboard account.
You may find it more reasonable to use ATMs in port. I can't remember what the charge was but it was higher than the normal $1.50-$2.00. People laugh at me, but I take traveler's checks with me. The casino and purser will cash them without a charge. I do have my credit cards, but I try my best to pay cash for everything except my on board account.
We always use our Charge Cards on shore...safer than carrying cash...and you don't need cash on the ship.....$100 or $200 in cash is always more than enough...
