Crown Princess September Itinerary: Hurricanes??

Thinking of booking Crown Princess' Bermuda, PR and Grand Turk sailing. Can anyone tell me how likely I am to run into hurricane problems? Just made it into and out of Galveston last year- four days before Katrina- and our hotel was hit hard by Rita. Not looking to have my whole trip canceled!

Hurricane season is usually over by the end of September. However, last year there were hurricanes in December. We've been on 16 cruises between October-December time frame and have never hit one. The first time we had any amount of rain was last year in November, but there were two hurricanes brewing. Thankfully, we didn't have to change our itinerary. We snorkled in every port and were wet anyway, so it didn't stop us from having fun. The good thing about the Caribbean, it's warm even if it's raining. Guess mother nature has the last word. Enjoy your cruise.

Thanks for your positive words. Booked the cruise yesterday morning. Just couldn't face going back to work without a new ticker counting down the days!
