Does Princess have any good 10+ European Cruises during the summer? Do any of you know of any good discount rates on Princess for 3rd and 4th passengers? It always seems that they charge quite a bit for the extra people.

Just a quick glance through some brochures tells me 3rd and 4th passengers travel for a couple of hundred dollars less than the first two passengers; but I didn't see any huge savings.

Princess has many wonderful European itineraries, all 10 days or more. Did you have any particular area in mind? If it's your first time to Europe I would suggest the Grand Mediterranean; it's 12 days and visits some of the best-known ports.

We had looked at Princess for a European cruise for summer 2009, and the third person fare was about half that of the first two passengers. This pricing was back in March 2008, so I don't know how the it has changed since then -- but it was still a tidy sum. We ultimately chose another line (for unrelated reasons). Yet, Princess offered some wonderful itineraries. Which are you considering?

If you have a travel agent, give them a buzz. If not, give Princess a call. They've been sending me emails and mailings for some fantastic deals. I have to pay down my credit cards for a while, then look out

Princess has a very good rate on the Crown for the May 2009 12 day sailings if you are a past passenger. Rates are almost one third off advertised price. Past passengers were sent notification in their emails in January 2009. Third person was half the price of the first and second. Quite a Bonanza. The Med and Greek Isles itineraries give you a great sampler of both Italy and Greece especially if you spend a few days in Rome prior to embarking cruise and a couple of days in Venice at debarkation

I sailed the Emerald Princess on a 12 day to the Mediterranean. The pricing was excellent, as was the cruise. The cruise left on August 28.

Hi Gloria, welcome to Cruise-Chat. The Emerald is a beautiful ship, we enjoyed her 2 years ago. I loved the International Cafe, and the Crown Grill. Sabatini's was just too much food for me. We look forward to seeing you more on our board. Best Wishes!

Hi Fredc, welcome to Cruise-Chat. We sailed the Royal in December/January. She's a great little ship, easy to navigate. They change out between Sabatini's and the Crown Grill since they don't have much room. We did a day pass for the Spa area, which was nice. The thollasas (sp?) pool was wonderful. Since we did the Caribbean, can't help on your itinerary. Here is a link to some pictures, if you'd like to look. Hope you have a fantastic cruise, and once again, welcome aboard!
