has anyone been to alaska on the sun princess?
if so, what did you like about it?
i booked a trip in june, but i'm a little bit hesitate, because it is an older ship.

Hi Geri,
my wife and I did Sun last Oct 22, 10 days E. Caribbean. If you want, you can find my review
of our cruise at: www.cruisemates.com, click Ship Reviews, then Readers Reviews, Princess, and then Sun. There is no way that I am going to spoil your cruise with negative comments, but there is one thing to remember for your second cruise ( ! ) to Alaska in the future. A verandah is a must! Therefore look for a newer
vessel that have balconies. Sun does not, unless you are up on the top deck in a mini suites. There is so much to see in Alaska, every minute of the day and sailing through the Passage you can see shore line on port and starboard sides with a most beautiful scenery in the world.

Just back from Sun Princess.
It is a lovely ship with nice staff etc
Never done Alaska but spoke to people who did and they loved it.
We only had an inside cabin but it was very comfortable-no doubt a balcony would be better but there are large decks to view from.
