I've been reading about a new tour that Princess is going to offer- The Ultimate Ship's Tour. You'll be able to see the bridge again along with the ships engine control room & laundry facilities. They'll be charging some where around $100 per person. You'll even get to have canapés & a drink with the Capt. on the bridge. I guess the excuse of not touring the bridge wasn't a security reason after all.

Wow! The tour really does include the laundry? You aren't just leading me on are you? I'd hate to get my hopes up.
It seems to be true. Do a search on "Ultimate Ships Tour" & you see where I was reading about it. There doesn't seem to be any end to the ways they can part you with you checkbook but I suppose there are some who value everything aboard the ship. Princess appears to be the leader with the innovative ideas for making a buck but at least it doesn't take anything away from me like the "reserved seating sections" of RCI.
None of it holds a lot of excitement for me, even when it was free. But I guess that might be true for a lot of former sailors. I don't care to see another engine room, bridge, galley, or laundry, even if it was free. As the Captain, I'd be offended to now be a revenue center for the shakedown of passengers.
That's what they have kind of been all along; this just really brings it home.
That is what I meant. It is now a direct sale as opposed to the past practices. They'd probably make more money if they sold seats to eat dinner with the Captain. Of course if he had to miss because of a problem, they could substitute the Staff Captain and offer a $25 credit to your account.
