Does anyone know what the average age is on this ship? My wife and I are 32, and we had heard it is a little older crowd on the ship (50-55) Would like to hear from somebody who has actually been on this ship, though.
Average age for Princess ships depends on the time of year. Actually this is true for most mainstream lines. Summer will find the average age to be much younger since this is when families can cruise with their kids. Fall and winter - and some weeks during spring - will show an older clientele.
Don't worry about it. My wife and I were in our mid-thirties on our first cruise and it was on a Holland America ship. Holland America typically has the oldest demographics of any mainstream cruise line. But we had a fabulous time on that cruise. Made many friends amongst those older people.....and many of them partied too hard for us!
I have heard that the Caribbean Princess has a younger age group compared to other Princess ships.
In general with Princess the longer the cruise the older the passenger.
Hi My husband and I sailed on the Caribbean last Janusry. we are 52 & 53. There were lots of people of all ages.Lots of people in their 30's. The ship is amazing and huge. We always went to bed early because we were pooped. You will have a great time and meeting new people of any age is always fun.
We were on the Caribbean Princess last year in June - I believe it was our 12th cruise in the past 7 years and was most definitely our overall favorite. The demographics depend on the time of year you cruise, especially if its over spring break or a major holiday. The ship is absolutely lovely, and we made friends with people of all ages - we are middle-aged with teenagers and a 21-year-old. It will be a little less crazy than a Carnival ship perhaps, but not noticeably so. BTW, the food was the best we've ever had outside of a Crystal cruise.
We just got back (ages 24-27). Yes there was a older crowd according to the staff however we didn't notice a difference. Families filled the big pool areas. The adult only spa pool was 25-40 year olds. The skywalkers club seemed to be filled with 20-30 year olds. We (26&27) met a nice "older couple" that were quite fun and entertaining. I wouldn't worry.
People of all ages seem to mix even better on a cruise than they do on land. There are so many passengers on board of every age, shape and size-friendships are easily made and kept-Don't worry about it-just sit back and relax!
