Using Cash Instead of Credit

We leave 9/27 on Sapphire Princess and was recently informed by Princess that we must register a credit card online in order to print our borading passes. We always put down cash on our shipboard account. If we register our credit credit online, will they still put a hold on our credit card even though we put plenty of cash on our shipboard account?? Carnival did not require this last year.

If you give them enough cash to cover your shipboard account there would be no need to put a hold on your credit card. They just want all paperwork completed before they allow you to print the boarding pass.
