Well, we never heard back from Marylu but we are the Island Princess now bound for Hawaii. Check in was very quick, less than five minues in line. We are at Platinum check in level.
The seas are a slight roll and pitch, but not bad. I have heard passengers in the walkways talking about taking pills for the sea sickness. We are not affected.
All bags were delivered prompltly to our room. The flowers I ordered were perfect and in place upon our entry to the cabin.
Everyone at our table last night enjoyed their meals with positive comments on the Virginia ham, rockfish and the prime rib.
I will update during the the trip. As you can see the internet is working.
I'll be reading your posts here also and passing them on to those on the March 27th roll call.
Sounds like Princess still has some of the same choices on the "Sailaway" dinner menu. The fish was Zander but the Virginia ham and Prime rib are old standbys. Glad to hear that there were positive comments.
What time did you arrive at the port?

My man in the Pacific oceanweather.com shows you a little bumpy for a couple days, and then settling down for the remainder of the trip to Hawaii. Have a great cruise. Hope the weather heats up soon. We board the same boat March 12 when you are done.Nice to see RichC is still around.
Day three at sea. The seas are calm, smooth ride and the air temp is up to 67F.
Entertainment last night, Piano Man, was only fair as far as the quality of the singers. Reminded me of what Simon would say on American Idol, you belong on a cruise ship.
We are still using the card swipe to log onto the computer. Starting in April they will switch to the new system of giving credit to Paltinum and Elite members toward an inter-net packgage you purchase.
We had our first formal night last night. We decided to us the dress up for a night at Sabatini's. We were treated very well and they serve you a portion of everthing on the menu, execpt the entree. So plan ahead and arrive hungry.
I have not heard anyone mention that there is any illness of the Norovirus on ship. We receive hand santizer at every eating location. But, still take your own precautions.
Thanks for the update. Sounds like your seas are much calmer than the webcam looks.
I guess as long as salt & pepper shakers are on the table the "noro" is not visiting.
Continue to have a great cruise.

Our table mates have both booked the Peal Harbor tour. Will let you know how it goes. One is seeing the USS Arizona only and the other is USS Arizona and USS Missouri.
We booked all tours online prior to the cruise. On the first day of sailing there were tours that were already listed as closed. So, I would recommend you book in advance. When we arrived in our cabin for departure the tour tickes were there waiting for us. Very convienent.
Movie today was The Queen. Bob & Bev there are many Canadians on board I guess everyone is leaving the cold behind.
