Ok, is there any swimming on an Alaskan cruise in May? Any need to bring shorts? We have been on 5 cruises, all in the Caribbean. This is our first with Pricess. Tell me some stuff. I know the scenery will be beautiful, but wondering about what to do on the ship.

Take layers of clothes it will probably be a bit cool at that time of year.

Are you taking PC dining or traditional?
What ship?

I doubt you'll need a whole lot of warm weather clothing. We did a southbound Seward to Vancouver cruise in July a few years ago, and the only time the pool was even open was during the last day, as we approached Vancouver.

LHT is right that you should take clothing you can layer. Also, be prepared for rain, as spring time can be rainy anywhere, but in Alaska it could be a cold rain that time of year.

The scenery is spectacular and you'll have a great time.

We went on the Alaska cruise 2 years ago in May. We did the Inside Passage. It was a beautiful trip! There is so much to do on the ship...you just have to be willing to try. As far as the weather and being able to swim...during the day, the water was fine to swim in. There were just as many people swimming on this cruise as there were on our cruise to the Carribean. At night, it got a little cool, so you would use the hot tubs. Take your shorts if you like to swim...and have a great trip!
