Hoping someone has some ideas....my grandmother is taking whole family on cruise and we're leaving in 2 weeks....my brother is taking a 3 month old and we are just finding out he can't take the infant...Princess took the birthdate and noone ever said anything till now...any ideas? Gram doesn't want to go without the whole family

There really isn't anything you can do to change this. The Princess age limit is 6 months (I think). I would see about getting a refund for the baby, since they shouldn't have accepted the baby's booking.

However, Gram will be out a lot of money if she doesn't want to go without the baby and your brother. You are too close to cruise time so any cancellations will cost her most of the cruise fare. They most likely will not issue a refund just because the whole family can't go - that is not a good enough reason in the view of most cruise lines.

I know this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it is the reality of the situation.

Sharon, I'm a bit confused. When your brother's cabin was booked, Princess' agent knew that he has a 3 month old? And now they're telling you Baby can't travel?

Princess limits the number of 3rd and 4th passengers on sailings, but if that limit had not yet been reached when you booked, I'm not sure why they're now telling your brother he can't bring the baby. Do you know if port taxes were paid for the baby, and if your brother is in a cabin that holds the right number of people?

I am also a bit confused. As the baby is 3 months old, was the cruise booked before or after the birth? If booked before the baby's birth, was s/he added later? Either way, does the baby's name, birthdate, and other information appear on the statement from Princess or on the Princess personalizer online?

Sorry for all the questions. I'm just trying to figure out what might have happened so that we may offer advice.
