My husband and I are going on our very first
cruise on October 26 to the Mexican Riveria. We
will be cruising on the STAR Princess out of L.A. Because we booked so late, we will have personal choice seating. What does that mean, exactly? And how does it compare to fixed seating? Will we still be able to sit down at the same time with everyone else at the table? Or, do we just show up whenever. Any advice and/or comments from you seasoned sailors would be greatly appreciated!

We can hardly wait!

Hi!
While I prefer fixed 1st seating for myself, we will be doing Personal Choice on the Dawn Princess on November 30th. If you go into http://www.cruisenewsdaily.com/index.html/ you could go to the center column, about half way down. There's an explanation about Personal Choice. It's several pages long, so I would suggest downloading it. Best explanation you're going to get. Take care, and happy sailing! Hi Sue!

Thank you for pointing me to this website. I read all about personal choice dining (you were right, it was a very lengthy article) and now I have a much better understanding of what "personal choice" is all about!

Happy Sailing to you!
