The Golden is a beautiful ship, she's been in ports with us and she is larger than the Dawn. We've been on the Sun, Sea, and Dawn and absolutely love them. There are 1950 passengers, yet there are plenty of intimate areas and you can get a seat most anytime, anywhere. The lines are not as long for the buffet and to get on and off the ship. We were on the Magica at Christmas, over 3000 passengers, and I must say it did take time to get that many people off and on a ship. We're on the Emerald in November, she's a larger ship, but I loved the itinerary. I don't think you could loose either way, like f-mattox stated. We've had balcony rooms on the Aloha, Caribe and Baja decks. The rooms were great and yes, there is metal half way up, but the views are still magnificent. It's a tough decision, but for the convenience, the Dawn, for the size, the Golden. Best wishes and congratulations on your anniversary!
